CDCP

We are pleased to announce that Oakville Smiles Family Dentistry is now accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) for general dentistry services. The CDCP, a federal initiative, provides coverage for Canadian residents without dental benefits who have a household income under $90,000 per year. Eligible individuals should receive a Welcome Package from Sun Life Canada, which includes a membership card and benefit start date. Prior to your appointment, please call us with your CDCP membership number so we can verify your eligibility and coverage.

How Much Will CDCP Cover?

The CDCP reimburses a portion of treatment costs, although it may not cover the full amount. Additional charges may apply if:

• Your adjusted family income is between $70,000 and $89,999, which may require a co-payment.
• The CDCP fee guide rates are lower than the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) Fee Guide that we use, in which case you would need to cover the difference.
• You choose services that are not covered under the CDCP.
